Earlier this week it was announced that Nintendo has partnered with children’s entertainment platform GoNoodle. The duo’s first collaboration is a movement break video—a gentle reminder for kids and parents to step away from their devices and limber up with some quick and simple exercise—inspired by last year’s standout Switch release, Super Mario Bros. Wonder.
In this three-minute short, viewers are presented with gameplay footage of Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Peach, and Toad exploring the dazzling environments of the Flower Kingdom. When each character pauses to place one of the game’s unique standees in the world, fans are encouraged to “strike a pose” matching that standee’s approximate pose.

This makes for a fun, easy bit of physical activity perfect for parents and even their youngest geeklings, and it reminds me of all the wonderfully enjoyable family screentime I shared with my own kids—now both independent teenagers—during their earliest years.
You can find this video and more online goodies at GoNoodle and the Play Nintendo website, including printables like a flower wreath and Mushroom Kingdom pencil toppers—both perfect opportunities to stretch your family’s crafting muscles as we head deeper into the sunnier seasons.
